2023 (Junior)
- Colby appeared in 23 games, earning 13 starts.
- Canales closed the season hitting .283 (13-for-46) with seven doubles and a pair of home runs.Â
- Down the stretch of the season Colby went 6-for-17 (.353) with six RBI over his final five games.
- His best game of the season came at Seton Hall, blasting a home run and a double against the Pirates. Colby went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored.
- Colby also went 2-for-4 with three RBI in the Bluejays’ 7-6 win over #9 Connecticut on May 18.
- Prior to the season Colby was named the first recipient of the Mark & Deborah Henkels Starting First Baseman Endowed Scholarship!
2021-22 (Pacific)
- As a sophomore, Canales started 36 games for the Tigers, making 39 appearances. He slashed .258/.333/.403 with four home runs, six doubles and 15 RBI.
- Colby appeared in seven games as a freshman, collecting five RBI and two of his three hits being doubles.
- In a March 5 contest during 2022 with Oral Roberts, Canales had a two home run day, going 3-for-4 at the plate.
2016-2020 (JSerra Catholic HS)
- A three-year letterwinner for the Lions, Canales was also a Perfect Game Preseason All-American from 2017-20.
- Canales finished his senior season batting .307, reaching base at a .460 clip and a .950 fielding percentage with a majority of the time spent at third and shortstop.
- Colby helped the Lions to the 2019 Boras Classic Southern California & State Championship, one of the most prestigious and competitive high school baseball tournaments nationwide.
