2023 (Sophomore)
- Malakai appeared in 17 games, all out of the bullpen.
- He closed the season with a 4-0 record and a 5.23 ERA over 31.0 innings.
- Vetock struck out 22 in 2023, limiting opponents to a .209 batting average.
- His longest outing came against Xavier on May 5, tossing a career best four innings.Â
- Malakai nabbed his second win of the season with three scoreless frames against Nebraska in Creighton’s 6-5 win on April 18.
- He backed that up with another three inning performance against St. John’s on April 21 in the Bluejays’ 12-7 victory.
2022 (Freshman)
- Vetock made 11 appearances out of the Bluejay bullpen in 2022, earning a 1-0 record and racking up eight strikeouts in 11 total innings pitched.
- Malakai earned his first win of the season after tossing a crucial scoreless frame in a 3-2 victory over Nebraska on March 29.
- In an April 5 affair at Kansas State, Vetock recorded career highs in innings pitched and strikeouts, punching out three over three shutout innings in relief.
2017-21 (Elkhorn High School)
- Vetock ranked as the fourth-rated pitcher and ninth overall player in the state of Nebraska’s 2021 signing class according to Perfect Game.
- Malakai earned his first varsity letter for the Antlers as a sophomore, collecting two wins in 24.1 innings pitched with 32 strikeouts.Â
- After the COVID-19 outbreak cancelled the 2020 season, Vetock broke out as a senior posting a 4-1 record, 1.51 ERA, and 61 strikeouts over 37.0 innings pitched.Â
