Celina saw time in one contest in 2014, playing four minutes in the Bluejays’ 2-0 win over Incarnate Word on Aug. 24.
High School:
Creighton’s first Canadian player since 2011 (Beth Fyles), Kassam completed her post HS education at Strathcona HS in Edmonton ... She graduated from high school in the United States at Darlington HS in Rome, Georgia in 2013 ... A highly decorated athlete, Celina won the Sharpe Sablon Award for love of the game as a junior and senior and earned the Myles Tutin Award for persistence and excellence in 2013 ... Kassam played in the All-Star Canadian National Competition in Hamilton, Ontario for Alberta, leading Alberta to a second place finish.
Club Team:
Celina played for the Victoria FC, a squad she led to the provincial championship in Calgary as well as the national championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Personal:
The daughter of Amin and Narmin Kassam, Celina has two siblings, Jalisa and Aly-Solomone.
