Scouting No. 12 Creighton  (4-1-2, 1-0-0 BIG EAST)
The Bluejays had their three-match win streak snapped with a 0-0 draw against No. 8 Denver on Wednesday.Â
Creighton opened the conference schedule with a come-from-behind 4-1 victory during its homecoming match against Seton Hall on Sept. 17.
The Bluejays average 17.9 shots per match and have 58 total corner kicks through seven matches.
Alex Kapp has recorded four shutouts and ranks second in Division I in save percentage (.912) with 31 saves and three goals against.Â
Creighton returned five starters and 10 letterwinners from last year's squad that ended the season in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament and led the country with 19 wins. Â

The Blue Demons picked up a 2-1 victory over Northwestern during their last match on Wednesday night.Â

The Bluejays defeated the Blue Demons 1-0 last year at Morrison Stadium.
Creighton earned a 2-1 come-from-behind victory during the last meeting at Wish Field. Fabian Herbers tied the match, and Mike Paye scored the game-winner for the Bluejays.

In a clash of top-15 teams, No. 12 Creighton and No. 8 Denver played to a 0-0 draw.
Alex Kapp led the Bluejays with nine saves as the Pioneers held a 17-12 shot advantage.

Alex Kapp tied a Morrison Stadium record for the most saves by a Creighton individual in a single match with nine on Wednesday against Denver.
Alex Bolowich recorded nine saves against No. 14 Old Dominion on Sept. 14, 2012.Â
Kapp's nine saves also matched his career high.Â
Scoreless Draws
Creighton's 0-0 draw on Wednesday was the first scoreless ties for the Bluejays since the 2014 NCAA tournament against UMBC (Dec. 5, 2014). UMBC advanced to the College Cup on penalty kicks, 4-3.
Wednesday also marked Creighton's first regular-season 0-0 draw since the 2013 season. The Bluejays and No. 12 Georgetown played to 0-0 on Sept. 28, 2013 during Creighton's first BIG EAST road match in program history.Â
Lennon Named To Top Drawer Soccer Team Of The Week
Following his three-goal performance last week, Riggs Lennon earned a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer Division I Men's Team of the Week (Sept. 12-18).Â
The senior scored the final goal during Creighton's 3-0 shutout of UMKC before converting a pair of penalty kicks against Seton Hall (Sept. 17).
Lennon and goalkeeper Alex Kapp also earned spots on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.
Creighton's Conference Opener Success
The Bluejays are a perfect 4-0 in BIG EAST regular-season openers following their victory over Seton Hall on Sept. 17.Â
Creighton's last regular season conference-opener loss occured during the 2011 season at Missouri State as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, and the last conference home-opener loss occured in 2009, also to Missouri State.Â
The Bluejays are 10-2-2 in conference home-openers at Morrison Stadium and 22-2-2 all-time.Â
Everybody Takes A Shot
The Bluejays tallied a season-high 29 shots, including 12 on goal, during Creighton's 3-0 win against UMKC (Sept. 13).
10 different Bluejays recorded at least one shot.
Creighton's shot total against UMKC was the most by the team since it posted 39 against Villanova last season (Oct. 24).Â
Forward Attack
Through the first four matches, only one of Creighton's six goals had been scored by a foward. That changed last week as all seven goals of the Bluejays' goals against UMKC and Seton Hall came from forwards (Myles Englis, Ricky Lopez-Espin and Riggs Lennon).Â
Offensive Outburst
Creighton was held to three goals through the first three contests of 2016, but outscored its opponents 10-1 in three consecutive victories.
The Bluejays shut out Penn and UMKC 3-0 before defeating Seton Hall 4-1. Â
Three Is The Magic Number
Creighton is 3-0-0 this season when scoring three or more goals.
The Bluejays have won their last 36Â matches when scoring three or more goals, dating back to a 3-3 tie against Drake on Nov. 7, 2009.
Creighton has scored three or more goals 216 times in program history while going 212-1-3 in those matches.
The one loss came during the 1990 season. The Bluejays fell to Missouri State 5-4 in overtime. Â
Kapp On Goal
Senior Alex Kapp notched his fourth shutout as a Bluejay against No. 8 Denver on Wednesday night. He had two clean sheets all of last season in 10 starts at Boston College.Â
Kapp now has 11 career shutouts through 43 career starts in goal.Â
He also has 31 saves through seven matches this season, while allowing three goals in 670 minutes of action. Kapp's .912 save percentage ranks second in Division I.
The senior did not allow a goal for 286 minutes and 33 seconds; a span that streched from the 13th minute of Creighton's match against UNO (Sept. 5) to the 10th minute of the first BIG EAST contest against Seton Hall (Sept. 17).
