Campbell's Hole-in-One Highlights Men's Golf Performance at Ram Masters Invitational

Junior had his second career ace on Monday
FORT COLLINS, Colo -- A hole-in-one from junior Shaun Campbell helped the Creighton men's golf team to a 14th-place finish at the Ram Masters Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday in Fort Collins, Colo.
In his second round on Monday, Campbell used a pitching wedge to ace the 195-yard No. 9 hole at Fort Collins Country Club for his second career hole-in-one. The New Zealand native led Creighton by tying for 36th place after scores of 76, 68 and 73 for a 217 total.
Junior Charlie Zielinski tied for 40th place following scores of 75, 73 and 70 for a 218 total. He's now shot par or better in 23-of-54 career rounds as a Bluejay, and his final round helped him ascend 14 spots in the final standings.
A pair of newcomers were up next for the Bluejays, as freshman Grant Feldman (73-74-73=220) tied for 51st place and sophomore transfer Cole Davis (78-80-71=229) made his CU debut in a tie for 75th place.
Senior Cade McCallum placed 84th following loops of 79, 78 and 80 for a 237 aggregate.
Tournament host Colorado State shot a final-round 269 (-11) to tie the tournament 54-hole record with an 823 finish (-17) and earn an 11-shot victory over Cal State Fullerton and the rest of the 15-team field.
Utah Valley's Brady McKinlay won tournament medalist honors by four shots after shooting a 9-under 201 thanks to rounds of 71, 66 and 64, edging Colorado State's David Bryant (68-68-69), Cal State Fullerton's Howard Yoon (66-71-68) and Wyoming's Patrick Azevedo (68-72-65) by four shots.
Eighty-four players competed in the event at Fort Collins Country Club on the par 70 course that measured 7,234 yards.
The Bluejays return to the course for the Big O Classic on Oct. 3-4 at The Club at Indian Creek in Elkhorn.
