Creighton seized the lead with four runs in the third, got a two-run blast in the fourth from Teddy Deters and a solo home run from Cuyler Zukowski in the seventh. The Bluejays' tallies in the third were aided by Musketeer wildness. Ben North opened the inning with a single up the middle, a one out double from Nolan Sailors, put runners at second and third. Consecutive walks to Deters and Nolan Clifford knotted the game at 1-1. An RBI single from Jack Grace and an RBI walk from Will MacLean, while Zukowski lifted a sacrifice fly to make it 4-1.

Zukowski's blast came with one down in the seventh, giving Creighton a two-run edge at 7-5. Hogan Helligso followed with a single, before lightning brought the game to a halt.
Picking up play on Saturday the Bluejays got a jolt as Matt Scherrman drew a two-out walk to put Bluejays at first and second. Sailors made the Musketeers pay with a three-run blast to left center. Sailors' blast pushed the Bluejay edge to 10-5.r
Xavier made it close with single tallies in each of the final three frames, but Bluejay closer Mason Koch notched his fifth save of the season by leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth.
Creighton reliever Shane Curtin picked up the win (2-1) getting the final four outs on Friday, while Xavier starter Nick Boyle took the loss (3-4), allowing four runs in 2.2 innings.Â
