Creighton (15-19, 5-7 BIG EAST) travels down I-80 to face in-state rival #21 Nebraska (28-10) at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in a midweek battle.
The Bluejays will then host Butler (21-14, 10-5 BIG EAST) in another pivotal BIG EAST series this weekend at the Creighton Sports Complex.
Creighton and Butler kick off the series on Friday at 4 p.m. The two teams will then battle on Saturday at 1 p.m. before wrapping up the series on Sunday at 11 a.m.

This weekend's series against Butler will be a Strikeout Cancer weekend at the CU Sports Complex. Friday's tilt against the Bulldogs will be a White Out, while Saturday's contest will be a Purple/Pink Out as we recognize one of our own who is battling cancer with a ceremonial first pitch. Sunday's series finale will be a Blue Out.
Bluejays not Blue Jays
Creighton's mascot is the Bluejays or Bluejay, one word. Conversely the MLB Toronto team is the Blue Jays.
Scouting Creighton (15-19, 5-7 BIG EAST)
Creighton is 15-19 this season and 5-7 in BIG EAST play after posting its first conference sweep against Georgetown last weekend in the nation's capital. The Bluejays have also recorded key wins over UConn, Drake, UC Santa Barbara and Saint Mary's this spring.
Offensively, Creighton is hitting .296 with 46 doubles, seven triples, 27 home runs and 158 RBI, while scoring 174 runs on 47 stolen bases.
The Bluejays are led offensively by senior Sydra Seville, who is hitting an impressive .384 on a team-high 48 hits, including six doubles, two triples and two home runs, while driving in 19 RBI and scoring a team-best 26 runs of her own.
Sophomore Kaelan Schultz has provided a spark of power to the Bluejays lineup, owning a .373 batting average on six home runs and two doubles, while junior Lily West is hitting .336 with 39 hits, including five double and two home runs while ranking second on the team with 20 total runs scored.
Sophomore Ashten Pierson has come alive as of late, posting a .322 batting average on 28 hits and nine walks, while junior Erika Perez owns a .304 average with a team-best eight doubles. Graduate student Hannah Poole follows closely behind, hitting at a .303 clip on five doubles, a triple and a home run.
Providing much of the power in the middle of the lineup has been sophomore Sydney Potter, who hits .274 and has driven in a team-leading 32 RBI on five doubles and a team-leading seven home runs.
Senior Kenzie Schofer has emerged as the Bluejays go to pitcher over the last few weeks as she owns a 4.49 ERA with 44 strikeouts in 73.1 innings of work. Sophomore Brooklyn Patchen has also recorded a team-best 3.59 ERA and a team-high 60 strikeouts in 76 innings pitched this season.
Sophomore Brooke Shifflett has also been a reliable option, owning a 6-5 overall record and a 3.64 ERA with 46 punchouts in 50.0 innings of work, while freshman Abby Rusher has provided 30.2 innings of relief this spring, collecting a 4.11 ERA.
As a staff, the Bluejays rank third in the BIG EAST with a 3.83 ERA and second with 170 strikeouts while holding its opponents to 215 hits in 230 innings this year.
Creighton returns six regular starters from last season's 36-22 squad that posted the programs first 35-win season since 2010 and finished runner-up in both the BIG EAST regular-season and tournament. The Bluejays were picked to finish fourth in the BIG EAST by the league coaches in 2025.
Head coach Krista Wood is in her third season with the Bluejays and holds a 581-390 career record, including a 73-72 mark at Creighton.
Scouting No. 21 Nebraska (28-10, 8-3 Big Ten)
Nebraska has won eight of its last 10 and enters Wednesday's midweek contest with a 28-10 overall record. The Cornhuskers own a 9-1 record at home this season with Big Ten series wins over Minnesota and Purdue.
NU is coming off a series win over Iowa, where they dropped the series finale 5-2 to the Hawkeyes.
Nebraska owns own of the most potent offenses in the NCAA this season, ranking among the NCAA leaders with a .352 batting average, 8.4 runs per game, 76 home run, 70 doubles and a .646 slugging percentage.
Junior right-hander and preseason All-American Jordy Bahl has done it all for the Huskers this season. Bahl has started in 35 of the 37 games she has played in this season, leading the team in batting average (.447), hits (51), and doubles (13), while also guiding the NU in the circle with a 1.34 ERA in 115.0 innings pitched with 156 strikeouts.
Nebraska has seven additional regular starters hitting better than .320, led by Olivia DiNardo and her .435 average. Ava Kuszak hits at a .391 clip with a team-high 14 home runs and 41 RBI, while Kacie Hoffmann follows closely behind with a .375 batting average. Hannah Camenzind (.360), Bella Bacon (.348), Abbie Squier (.324) and Lauren Camenzind (.321) are also all hitting better than .320 at the plate.
In the circle, the Huskers own a 2.46 ERA with 242 strikeouts in 233.1 innings of work, led by Bahl.
Hannah Camenzind has been a supporting cast to Bahl, owning a 2.96 ERA with 43 strikeouts in 54.1 innings pitched, while Emmerson Cope holds a 3.41 ERA with eight strikeouts in 26.2 innings of work this season.
Head coach Rhonda Revelle is in her 34th season at the helm of Nebraska.
Series History Against the Cornhuskers
Creighton and Nebraska have met 126 times, with the Huskers holding a significant 88-38 lead in the all-time series.
Nebraska has won eight of the last nine overall meetings and the last nine contests played in Lincoln.
The Bluejays last win in the series came on April 9, 2019, when the Jays run-ruled Nebraska 9-1 in Omaha. Creighton, however, has not won in Lincoln since the Bluejays topped the Huskers 3-0 on April 1, 2009.
Additionally, Creighton is 2-22 since 2000 when they Cornhuskers are ranked, with its lone victories coming back in 2005.
Scouting Butler (21-14, 10-5 BIG EAST)
Butler enters this weekend's series with a 21-14 overall record and sits third in the BIG EAST with a 10-5 mark in league play. The Bulldogs are coming off a series loss at Connecticut, where they sandwiched a 9-4 win in between a pair of close losses.
Collectively, the Bulldogs are hitting .301 with 38 doubles, 18 home runs, and 157 RBI, while scoring 5.1 runs per game.
Butler is led offensively by sophomore Leigh Vande Hei with a .403 batting average while junior Cate Lehner follows closely behind, hitting at a .391 clip on a team-high 50 hits and scoring a team-best 30 runs scored. Lehner also leads the BIG EAST in stolen bases, converting on 26 of her 28 attempts.
Defensively, Butler leads the BIG EAST in double plays with 15 on the season, as the Bulldog pitching staff has logged a 3.61 ERA with 144 strikeouts in 228.2 innings of work.
Freshman Gwen Baker has taken helm in the circle, recording a 10-4 record with five complete games, while collecting a 3.08 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 86.1 innings this season. Support pitchers junior Rylan Dyer and sophomore Katie Petran collectively own an 11-8 record with 79 strikeouts in 121.1 innings.
Butler was picked to finish sixth in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll as head coach Scott Hall leads the bulldogs in his 15th season.
Series History Against Bulldogs
Creighton and Butler have met 28 times previously with Creighton holding a slim 15-13 lead in the overall series.
The Bluejays have won four out of the last five meetings, including taking two of three from the Bulldogs last season in Indianapolis, as well as earning a 4-2 win in the first round of the 2024 BIG EAST Tournament.
Creighton and Butler are an even 6-6 all-time in games played in Omaha, with the Jays earning a 9-1 run-rule victory in the most recent contest at the CU Sports Complex.
Head coach Krista Wood is 7-3 all-time against Butler as a head coach.

- Sydra Seville has stolen 16 bases this season and is now two stolen bases shy of tying Danai Martin (2011) and Hean Tierney (1980) for eighth and three shy of tying Heidi Geier (1996) for seventh on the single season stolen base lists.
- Kenzie Schopfer owns 135 career strikeouts and is not 15 shy of 150 for her career.
-Brooklyn Patchen needs just 13 strikeouts to record 100 for her Bluejay career.

Goin' Bowlin
Creighton is 9-22 all-time at Bowlin Stadium, including a 5-16 record against Nebraska and a 4-6 mark against NCAA Tournament opponents, as the Bluejays have made four NCAA Tournament appearances at the venue.
The Jays had won four straight games against NU at Bowling Stadium from 2007-09, outscoring the Huskers 22-3 in those four wins. CU, however, has lost each of its last nine contests against Nebraska in the facility, with its last win coming via a 3-0 shutout back on April 1, 2009.
Home-Grown Talent
A combined 15 players on Wednesday's rosters hail from the state of Nebraska. Creighton owns five Nebraska natives on its 2025 roster, while Nebraska owns 10 players from The Good Life state. Of the 15, 10 are those are from the Omaha or Lincoln metro areas.
Lincoln native Ashley Smetter will be making her first return to Bowlin Stadium on Wednesday after player her first two seasons with the Cornhuskers.
Bluejays Vs. Top 25 Competition
Creighton is 19-82-1 against top 25 teams since 2000 and is seeking its first top 25 win since upsetting No. 24 California on Feb. 8, 2014.
The Bluejays have dropped its last 13 contests to ranked opponents and hold an 11-80 overall record against top 25 teams away from home.
CU is 2-22 all-time against a ranked Nebraska team with its most recent top 25 victory over the Huskers coming via a Jess Merkel walk-off homer in the ninth of a 1-0 win on April 14, 2005.

She's Going the Distance
Senior Kenzie Schopfer put together one of the most complete pitching weekends in the circle last weekend at Georgetown.
The senior right-hander tossed a pair of complete game shutouts against the Hoyas, striking out seven in 12 scoreless innings.
In Friday's series opening win, Schopfer struck out three while allowing just seven hits to earn her first win of the season. The Savannah, Mo. native then completed her second complete game of the week, striking out four and allowing three hits in five shutout innings in the series finale on Sunday.
With last weekend's two complete game shutouts, Schopfer has now fired 17 scoreless innings and three complete-game shutouts, including one perfect game, over the Hoyas in her Bluejay career.
West & Schopfer Nabs Spot on BIG EAST Honor Roll
Junior Lily West and senior Kenzie Schopfer each claimed a spot on the weekly honor roll this week, following a sweep of Georgetown last weekend.
West earned a spot on the honor roll for the second consecutive week, leading Creighton to a 3-1 record last week. The standout junior hit a blistering .429 (6-of-14) with a pair of home runs and five runs scored while collecting 12 RBI and boasting a .857 slugging percentage. The Choctaw, Okla. native drove in at least three runs in all three games last weekend as the Bluejays outscored the Hoyas, 27-2.
Schopfer, meanwhile, led all BIG EAST pitchers last week with a 0.98 ERA, picking up a pair of shutout wins in three appearances. The Savanna, Mo. native held opponents to 12 hits and a .231 batting average while logging nine strikeouts in 14.1 innings of work.
Bring the BIG EAST Broom
Creighton completed its first BIG EAST series sweep of the season this past weekend at Georgetown, posting a pair of shutouts, including a 13-0 run-rule victory in the series finale on Sunday.
Last season, Creighton swept Georgetown for its BIG EAST series sweep since 2021. In fact, last weekend's sweep of the Hoyas was just the 10th time since joining the BIG EAST in 2014 and the first series win in Washington, D.C. since 2017.

Small-Ball Bluejays
Creighton has prided itself as building triple-threat players at the plate, perfecting the ability to lay down a bunt at any given time.
This season, Creighton is hitting .692 (18-of-26) with 12 sacrifices in bunting opportunities. Senior Sydra Seville is 9-of-10 (.900 BA) with two sacrifice bunts this season, while sophomore Ashten Pierson has converted 7-of-13 bunts and recorded a team-high three sacrifices.
Last season, the Bluejays converted 31 sacrifice bunts, led by seven from Pierson.
Seville Swipes
Senior Sydra Seville paces the team with 16 stolen bases this year, currently sitting in a tie for 10th on Creighton's single season stolen bases list.
The New Lenox, Ill. natives 16 stolen bases are the most by a Bluejay since Aujanae McCoy swiped 16 bags in 2016. Seville is now just two stolen bases shy of tying Danai Martin (2011) and Hean Tierney (1980) for eighth and three stolen bases shy of tying Heidi Geier for seventh on the single season top 10 stolen bases list.
In total, Seville has collected 23 stolen bases in her career and is now nine stolen bags shy of enter the Bluejays career top-10 list.

Hit Parade
Creighton's 17 hits against Connecticut on Friday marked a new season-high and were the most hits in a single game by the Bluejays since collecting 17 hits against Butler on April 20 last season.
The Bluejays followed that up by collecting 16 hits, all singles, in a 13-0 run-rule victory over Georgetown on Sunday.
Since joining the BIG EAST in 2014, Creighton has recorded 15 or more hits in a single game 10 times, with six of those coming under the direction of head coach Krista Wood.

Bluejay Thieves
Creighton has recorded 47 stolen bases this season, a total that currently ranking fourth in the BIG EAST behind only St. John's (65), Butler (64) and UConn (48).
The Bluejays 47 stolen bases are the most in a single season since joining the BIG EAST in 2013 and the most since swiping 55 bags in 2011.
CU stole just eight total bases in their first 10 games of the season, but have been more aggressive on the base paths, collecting 39 stolen bags in the last 24 games.
By comparison, the Bluejays stole a total of 24 bases in 58 total games last season. Prior to this season the Bluejays had only recorded more than 30 stolen bases in three seasons since joining the BIG EAST in 2014.
The Jays collected a season-high seven stolen bases against UC Santa Barbara on March 2. The Bluejays seven steals were two shy of the school record and were tied for the second-most in a single game in program history and the most since also collecting seven stolen bases against Bradley on March 31, 2001.

Out of the Gates
Creighton has jumped out to early leads, but that hasn't always paid dividends as the Bluejays are 10-7 when scoring first and 6-7 when scoring in the first inning this season.
CU has manufactured some big scoring innings early on in contests, outscoring its opponents 53-36 in the first and second innings this season.
The Bluejays have scored four or more runs in a single inning 18 times this year, including a season-high six runs in an inning on five different occasions, including three last weekend at Georgetown.

Keeping it Consistent
Part of CU's success this season can be attributed to knowing who will be starting on a game-by-game basis.
This season, Ashten Pierson (Shortstop), Lily West (catcher/DP), Sydra Seville (Right Field/Center field) and Sydney Potter (First base, Catcher, DP) have started all 34 game this season. Erika Perez has also started 30 of the 34 games at third base, while Ella Dalton has also earned the start in centerfield in 29 of the 33 games she has played in this season.
Sticky Situation
Below are some interesting facts when breaking down the CU lineup.
• Sydra Seville is hitting .472 (25-of-53) as CU's leadoff hitter and a blistering .429 (15-of-35) with runners in scoring position this season.
• In addition, Sydra Seville is hitting .389 (21-of-54) with runners on base and .344 (11-of-32) with two-outs.
• Lily West hits .433 (29-of-67) with runners on base and .447 (21-of-47) when those runners are in scoring position, while hitting .429 (3-of-7 with the bases loaded.
• Additionally, Lily West hits .429 when batting third in the lineup, but just .209 when batting first or second.
• Avery Barnard is hitting .440 (11-of-25) with runners on and has upped that to .462 (6-of-13) with runners in scoring position.
• Thirty of Sydney Potter's hits this season have come while she is either playing first base or when she is catching. She has only recorded one hit in 11 at-bats as CU's designated player.
Krista vs. The BIG EAST
Throughout her career, head coach Krista Wood's teams played some of their best softball against BIG EAST competition.
Entering her third season with the Bluejays, Wood's currently owns a 30-35 record in the BIG EAST with at least one victory over every team in the league.
In her eight seasons with South Dakota State, Wood's compiled a 21-5 overall record against the BIG EAST, including a 17-1 mark in her final six seasons that featured 11 straight victories.
In total, Wood's owns a 50-38 overall record against teams from the BIG EAST.

Bluejays Keeping it Close
Through the first 31 games of the season, Creighton has already played 15 games decided by two or less runs, including 11 one-run contests.
Despite keeping it close, the Bluejays are just 5-10 in close games this season, which including a 3-8 record in one-run games.
Last season, Creighton played 23 games decided by two or less runs, posting a 15-8 overall record, while recording an 11-5 record in one-run contests.
Historic Comeback For the Ages
Creighton pulled off a comeback for the ages on Friday, March 28, scoring six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and another in the eighth to knock off the UConn, 7-6, in the series opener of a three-game set.
The victory matched Creighton's largest comeback in a win since 1994, having also overcome a 6-0 deficit with a nine-run seventh frame to defeat Weber State on Feb. 25, 2017 in Santa Clara, Calif.
Creighton picked up just its 39th victory since 1999 when the opposition scores six or more runs. The Jays are now 39-287 (.119) winning percentage) during the past 26 years when allowing six or more runs and 29-408-1 (.067) when trailing after six innings.
RUNS, RUNS, RUNS!!!
Creighton scored 18 runs on 17 hits, including five home runs against Connecticut on Friday, March 28. The Huskies, however, pushed in 22 runs of their own to earn the victory.
The Bluejays' 18 runs scored were tied for fourth-most in program history and the most in a single game since CU scored a school record 24 runs against Toledo on Feb. 8, 2020.
Additionally, the 40 combined runs were the most in any Creighton game in program history, and the highest-scoring game in the country this season.

Pinch Me
In Creighton's six-run fifth inning in game two against Connecticut on March 28, head coach Krista Wood went to the bench and call upon Kaelan Schultz to pinch hit.
The sophomore slugger stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and delivered in a big way, smashing her first career grand slam.
In the process, Schultz became the first Bluejays to record a pinch-hit grand slam since Mikaela Pechar blasted a bases clearing home run against Villanova on May 5, 2018.
CU Later Ball!
Last Friday, Creighton and Connecticut combined to blast 12 home runs, including three grand slams, while combining for 40 runs.
Creighton homered in each of the first five innings, with those five blasts tying for the third-most home runs in a single-game in program history.
The Bluejays five home runs are the most in a single game since also hitting five homers against Kansas City on March 15, 2023.
Connecticut also launched seven home runs of their own, including four in four straight at-bats from Kaitlyn Breslin, as she tied an NCAA single-game record for home runs in a single contest.

Creighton has also produced some big hitters throughout its powerful lineup over the years and that trend has continued this season.
CU has blasted a total of eight home runs this season, including five against Connecticut on March 28. In total, there has been 20 home runs hits in six games at the Creighton Sports Complex this spring.
Last spring CU blasted a total of 24 home runs, with 16 of those coming from within the confines of the CU Sports Complex.
Sophomore Sydney Potter led the way with six home runs last year at home, while Lily West recorded three homers and Ella Dalton added in one of her own.
Since joining the BIG EAST in 2014, the most home runs a Creighton team has hit during a single season at home is 25 (2018).

Seville's Finest
Senior outfielder Sydra Seville is having a career season at the plate, batting .384 (No. 5 in BIG EAST) on a season-best 48 hits (No. 4 in BE).
The standout junior ranks tied for second in the BIG EAST with two triples, while doubling up her career total with 19 RBI this spring.
Seville's numbers this season are astonishing compared to her numbers in her first three seasons as a Bluejay.

Potter Rakes
Junior first baseman Sydney Potter leads the team and ranks tied for sixth in the BIG EAST with 32 RBI this season. She has recorded a team-best nine multi-RBI games, including four such games with three or more RBI this season.
The Runnells, Iowa native currently leads the team with seven home runs and ranks tied for third on the team with five doubles, while owning a .504 slugging percentage this season.
In total, Potter has collected 65 career RBI in 80 career games on 14 doubles and 16 home runs. In fact, 30 of her 60 career hits have been extra-base hits. In comparison, Amy Baker, the Bluejays all-time RBI leader, recorded 61 RBI in her first 80 games as a Bluejay back in 2010-11.
RBI Queens
Sophomore Sydney Potter, juniors Lily West and Erika Perez have delivered in a big way for the Bluejays this season.
The trio has combined for 79 of the teams 158 RBI this season, while slugging 18 doubles and 13 home runs.
Potter leads the team with 32 RBI with a team-high seven home runs, with West not far behind with 27 RBI of her own. Perez has driven in 20 runs of her own and currently owns a team-best eight doubles on the year as the trio has combined for 22 multi-RBI games this season.
West Reaches 150 Career Hit Plateau
Junior catcher Lily West reached the 150-hit plateau in the series opener against Connecticut on March 28.
The Choctaw, Okla. native delivered her 150th career hit in a big way, driving in the game tying runs with a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh inning of Creighton's 7-6 win over the Huskies.
West become the 17th Bluejay since 1999 to record 150 career hits. She has been consistent at the plate throughout her Bluejay career, hitting .332 with 157 career hits in 145 career games.

West Staying Durable
Junior catcher Lily West has been a fixture in the Bluejays starting lineup since stepping foot on campus in 2023 and is reaching uncharted territory as she has started in all 145 games of her Bluejay career.
Her 145 consecutive starts are the longest starting streak by a Bluejay since Madeline Vejvoda started the final 174 games in her Bluejay career from 2020- 2024.
Can't Keep Her Off Bases
Senior Sydra Seville reached base safely in 21 straight games before having her streak snapped on March 22 in three at-bats against Seattle. The 21-game on-base streak was Creighton's longest streak since Ashley Cantu also reached base safely in 21 consecutive games in 2019.
The New Lenox, Ill. native also had an 18-game on-base streak snapped earlier this season, a streak that dated back to last season. Since 2010, Seville is the only Bluejay to record multiple 18-game on-base streaks.
The standout senior has reached base safely in 31 of the 34 games this season and in 46 of the Bluejays last 49 games dating back to April 19, 2024.

Seville Keeps Hitting
Senior Sydra Seville had her career-best 18 -game hitting streak snapped on Feb. 8 after recording the longest hit streak by a Bluejay since at least 1999 on her first career out of the park home run in an 10-2 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne.
The New Lenox, Ill. native hit a blistering .517 (30-of-58) with 30 hits, nine RBI, 12 runs scored and four stolen bases over her 18-games hitting streak, dating back to the end of last season, where Seville earned Second Team All-BIG EAST honors and a spot on the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team.
Seville then collected at least one hit in 11 straight contests from March 1 to March 21. During her second longest career hitting streak, she hit .500 (21-of-42), with eight multi-hit games.
In all, Seville has recorded a hit in 27 of the 34 games this season, boasting a team-best .384 average on a team-leading 48 hits, including six doubles, two triples and two home runs.

Seville MADNESS
Forget March Madness, senior Sydra Seville created her own madness throughout the month of March.
The New Lenox, Ill. native hit a blistering .439 with a team-best 29 hits. She drove in 12 runs on two doubles, two triples and a home run while scoring 13 runs of her own on a perfect 12 stolen bases.
Seville carried her hot bat into BIG EAST play, ranking second in the league with a .543 batting average on a league-leading 19 hits.
The star junior also recorded 11 of her team-leading 16 multi-hit games in the month of March.
Home Sweet Home
Creighton owns a 501-280-1 (.643) all-time record in home games, which includes a 367-228-1 (.618) record at home since moving into the CU Sports Complex in 1988. Earlier this season, the Bluejays secured it 500th all-time win at home with an 9-6 win over former MVC rival Drake on March 11th.
Creighton finished last season with a 16-3 record at the home. The Bluejays 16 home wins were the most wins in the CU Sports Complex since the 2008 Bluejays finished the home schedule with a 19-2 overall record.
In addition, it was just the second time this century that Creighton had recorded 16 or more home wins in a single season.

Creighton At Home
Since joining the BIG EAST in 2014, the Bluejays own a 76-71 record at the Creighton Sports Complex.
The Bluejays are 2-4 this season, with the two wins coming against Drake and UConn. Through the first six home games, Creighton is hitting .323 with 10 doubles, eight home run and 36 RBI.
Redshirt freshman Kenzie Nakasawa leads the way offensively with a .625 batting average at home, while Lily West hits a blistering .471 with eight hits, including three doubles, five walks and a team-high tying six RBI. Ella Dalton (.462) is also hitting better than .450, while Sydra Seville owns a team-high nine hits and is a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases at home this season.
Creighton finished 16-3 at home last season, which included victories over Rider, Northern Colorado, North Dakota, Villanova, South Dakota, Omaha and Providence, as well as BIG EAST series sweeps over Georgetown and DePaul
Last season, Creighton hit a blistering .349 at home with 37 doubles, three triples, 16 home runs and 106 RBI, while the Bluejay pitching staff owned a 2.05 ERA with 102 strikeouts, holding opponents to a .178 batting average.
Junior Lily West paced the Bluejay returners with a .421 batting average with five doubles, three home runs, while driving in 16 RBI. Senior Sydra Seville followed closely behind, hitting at a .417 clip with one double, one triple and 11 runs scored.

RPI Update
The latest NCAA Softball RPI, released through games of April 6, has Creighton with the seventh-best RPI in the BIG EAST.
Creighton has an RPI of 195, with big conference opportunities against, St. John's (86), Butler (153) and Seton Hall (136) remaining on the schedule.
Creighton is 10-1 this year against teams with an RPI worse than 195, but 5-17 against teams in the top 200. The best RPI team that Creighton has beaten is No. 54 Connecticut.
Magic Number 5
Since the turn of the century, Creighton has had tremendous success when scoring five or more runs. The Bluejays have continued that success this spring, opening the season with seven straight wins when scoring at least five runs.
Over the last 25 seasons, Creighton is 386-58 when scoring five or more runs. In the same time span Creighton is 245-425-3 when scoring four runs or fever.
Creighton is also 170-40 when scoring five or more runs in a game since joining the BIG EAST in 2014.
Last spring, the Bluejays went an impressive 23-0 record when scoring at least five runs in a game. In those 23 contests, Creighton outscored their opponents, 192-66.
During that same time frame the Bluejays are 99-5 when scoring eight or more runs, which included a perfect 15-0 record in 2024. Prior to Creighton's 22-18 loss to Connecticut on March 28, Creighton had now won 29 consecutive games when scoring eight or more runs.
Additionally, Creighton had won 36 straight games when scoring 10+ runs, before March 28th setback to the Huskies.
Double Trouble
Over the last two seasons Creighton has consistently been able to snag extra-bases, and that has been the case once again this season.
The Bluejays currently rank fourth in the BIG EAST with 46 doubles, trailing only Seton Hall (59), St. John's (54) and Villanova (52). Among the leaders in the BIG EAST is junior Erika Perez, who is tied for eighth in the league with eight two-baggers.
This spring the Bluejays have recorded a season-high five doubles twice, including five in CU's season-opening win over Purdue Fort Wayne on Feb. 7.
This marks the third straight season Creighton has recorded 40 or more doubles in its first 35 games of the season.
CU has recorded 77 doubles each of the last two seasons, tying for the second most in a single season and falling two shy of the school record 79 hit during the 1993 season.
Overall, the 154 doubles hit over the last two years are the most doubles in a two-year span in program history.

Free Softball
Creighton has played five extra-inning games this season, including four in the past three weeks at Villanova and home against Seattle and Connecticut The Bluejays, however, have not had the best of lucky this season, owning a 2-3 mark in extra-inning contests.
The Bluejays erased a six-run deficit in the bottom of the seventh against Connecticut on March 28, before earning the win with a run in the eighth. The Bluejays only other extra-inning win this season was a 4-3 8-inning win over Purdue Fort Wayne in the finale of the Kickin' Chicken Classic in Conway, S.C.
Sophomore Sydney Potter lifted the Bluejays to the victory over PFW, launching a two-run home run to straight away center in the bottom of the eighth inning, while Sydra Seville delivered the game-winner with an RBI single against UConn.
Potter's two-run walk-off blast was the Bluejays first walk-off home run since Emma Rosonke launched a three-run home run in a 9-1 run-rule victory over Abilene Christian on Feb. 13, 2022.
Last season the Bluejays played seven extra-inning games, recording a 6-1 record. Overall, Creighton is 95-97-2 all-time in extra innings games, including a 19-15 mark since joining the BIG EAST in 2014.
Amongst the Bluejays extra-inning games is Creighton's NCAA record 31-inning contests against Utah on May 11, 1991, as well as the third longest game in NCAA History in the 25-inning affair against Utah just 21-minutes later on May 12, 1991.
