2021 (Freshman)
- In his first appearance of the season, Holderfield was 3.1 innings into his first career start on Feb 27 against Belmont before being pulled due to injury. He underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery.
- Griffin had punched out four batters and given up three runs on the mound prior to his injury.
- Holderfield made six appearances with a 3.72 ERA, notching nine strikeouts through 9.2 innings of work.
- Griffin’s longest outing of the year came on Feb 22 at San Jose State where he pitched three shutout innings in relief with one strikeout.
- In a Feb 29 win (4-3 in 11 innings) at UNLV, Holderfield recorded five strikeouts in two innings pitched, but a pair of passed balls granted an unearned run to score.
- Holderfield was a three-time letter winner for Oak Park-River Forest HS in Oak Park, Illinois.
- Griffin was rated as the 18th-highest player from Illinois by Perfect Game.
- An All-State selection as a senior, Holderfield’s high school highlight was throwing a complete game to win the sectional championship.
- In high school Griffin played with fellow Bluejay, Luke Fitzgerald.
- Studying Financial Services and hopes to be a financial manager for a professional sports team.
- Best baseball memory is throwing a complete game in regionals his senior year of high school and watching his teammate hit a walk-off home run to win the game.
