- While playing for the Timberwolves, Brody earned honors for First Team All-Eastern Kansas League and Second Team All-Eastern Kansas League.
- Â Shinkle earned Second Team All-State honors twice.
- In his senior year at Blue Valley Southwest, the Timberwolves placed third in State.
- In the 2022 season, Brody and his team won State.
- By the end of his career at Blue Valley Southwest High School, Shinkle earned four baseball letters.
- Shinkle played baseball all four years. He also played basketball his freshman year.
- Brody earned Principal Honor Roll twice and the Excellence Award in the department of Science and English.

- Where did you first fall in love with baseball, and who put the first glove in your hand? I have been around baseball since I can remember with my older brothers playing. My dad put the first glove in my hand and helped me fall in love with the game.

- What’s your favorite restaurant in Omaha? 801 Chophouse
- If you didn’t play baseball, what other sport would you have played? Basketball
- What’s your earliest baseball memory that still sticks with you today? Going to my older brothers' practices and hanging out at those when I was really little.
- What’s a hobby or talent you have that people wouldn’t expect from a baseball player? I am good at Fortnite.
