2021-25 (Lyle High School)
- In his final year playing for the Athletics, VaDeer earned the 2025 Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year and was a finalist for the 2025 Minnesota Mr. Baseball award.
- Hunter received recognition as Section A Baseball Player of the Year and won the High School All Star Home Run Derby, winning MVP honors from the event.
- VaDeer claimed All-Section and All-State honors three times, during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
- Hunter's third year saw the Athletics reach a sixth place finish at State.
- Lyle High School also placed second at State in 2023.
- VaDeer finished his time with the Athletics with a total of 405 strikeouts.Â
- The Minnesota native lettered in baseball five times. He also played basketball and football his freshman year at Lyle High School.

- Where did you first fall in love with baseball, and who put the first glove in your hand? Training to get better at pitching with the Rochester Pine's seventh grade fall. My dad put the first glove in my hand.
- Who is the GOAT of baseball? Shohei Ohtani
- What’s your favorite restaurant in Omaha? Let It Fly
- If you didn’t play baseball, what other sport would you have played? Basketball
- What’s your earliest baseball memory that still sticks with you today? Pitching in city league baseball in fourth grade and no one wanted to catch for me because I threw too hard.
- What’s a hobby or talent you have that people wouldn’t expect from a baseball player? Fishing every summer when not playing baseball.
