2024-25 (South Carolina/Creighton)
- McClellan attended South Carolina in the fall of 2024, transferring to Creighton for the spring of 2025. Max used his redshirt option during the 2025 season.
- Max earned a combined eight letters in baseball (four) and basketball (four) while playing for the Eagles.
- He led the Eagles to a pair of district championships on the diamond.
- A First Team All-State selection as a senior, Max was the No. 246 ranked prospect by both Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report.
- On the basketball court, McClellan helped the Eagles to a regional championship, earning all-district honors.

- Success on the diamond is in the McClellan family as his sister Mallory played four seasons of softball at Fordham and two of his uncles pitched professionally. His uncle Matt McClellan played in the Toronto Blue Jays (1998-2002), while his uncle Zach McClellan pitched for the Colorado Rockies (2007).Â
- In addition his grandfather played basketball at Michigan, while his grandmother ran track at Bowling Green.
