Getting to Know Joe Hauser
- As a right-handed pitcher, Hauser made eight appearances and pitched in six innings for the Bluejays.
- Joe chose to use his graduate year of eligibility and come back for the 2026 season as a graduate student.
- Joe earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.Â
- In 2023, he made five appearances on the mound, posting a 4.66 ERA with eight strikeouts in 9.2 innings pitched before getting injured.Â

- During his year at ASU, he made 10 appearances, including six starts where he pitched a total of 16.1 innings with 14 strikeouts and seven walks.
2017-2020 (Waunakee High School)Â
- Joe was named to the Perfect Game Preseason All-American 2nd Team All-Region for the Central Region.Â
- He was listed as 7th Overall Prospect by Perfect Game, and Prep Baseball listed him as the 2nd best prospect at shortstop, in Wisconsin.
- In one season of varsity baseball, Hauser hit .417, driving in 20 runs and hitting two home runs.Â
- As a pitcher, he limited his opposing batters to an average of just .171 through 9.1 innings.Â
- Hauser was also active in his high school through four years of football, one year of of basketball, and held membership in National Honors Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

- Where did you first fall in love with baseball, and who put the first glove in your hand? Going to Madison College games when my dad was the coach/athletic director. My parents first put a glove in my hand.

- What’s your favorite restaurant in Omaha? Avoli
- If you didn’t play baseball, what other sport would you have played? Football
- What’s your earliest baseball memory that still sticks with you today? Sitting in the dugout with my dad at Madison College games.
- What’s a hobby or talent you have that people wouldn’t expect from a baseball player? I can play the piano.
