Ben North
2025Â (Junior)
- Playing and starting in all 59 games of the season, Ben was in the top five for the Bluejays with a season batting average of .289 and ranked second for most home runs with eight.Â
- With the most at-bats on the team (239), North also recorded the highest number of RBI for the Bluejays (59) and was second in both runs (48) and hits (69) for the 2025 season.Â
- The shortstop lead the team with 16 multi-RBI games during the season.
- In a win against against Connecticut on April 6, he batted his best of the season, reaching a .362 for the game and helping Creighton to an 11-7 win with three RBI, two hits and one run.
- In a dominating 19-3 win on May 13, North had five RBI, two runs and two doubles to help complete the victory over Omaha.
- On April 18, North was awarded a spot on the Brooks Wallace Watch List, which indicated that he was one of the top-100 shortstops in the country.
2024Â (Sophomore)
- After three definitive wins at the Sugar Land Classic against Houston Christian, UTSA and UIC, Ben earned BIG EAST Player of the Week after going 5-for-7 holding .714 batting average and an on-base percentage of .778.
- Tied for second-most starts on the team, Ben started in 51 — and played in all 52 — games mainly as a third basemen but occasionally as a shortstop.
- Ben closed the season with a .283 batting average with seven doubles and picked up one triple early in the season. Â
- North had top five numbers on the Bluejays’ roster scoring 44 runs, bringing 45 runners in, hitting six home runs, and 49 hits after a total of 173 at-bats.Â
- During a 22-1 win against Houston Christian on February 23, Ben went 3-for-4 and tied a program record with 10 RBI, two grand slam hits and 11 total bases.Â
- On defense, North made six double plays, the fourth most on the team, recorded 98 assists, the second most on the team.Â
2023 (Redshirt Freshman)
- Ben appeared in all 49 games for Creighton during the 2023 season, earning 48 starts.
- North closed the season hitting .173 with 27 hits, six doubles, two home runs and 13 RBI.
- A stellar defender at third base, North logged 100 assists.
- His best efforts of the season came with three hit performances against St. John’s in a 12-7 win on April 21 and at Wichita State on March 18 in Creighton’s 13-6 win.
2022 (Freshman)
- North started at third base twice and made three total appearances in 2022, but missed significant time with a knee injury.
- In a pinch-hit opportunity against The Citadel on April 1, Ben collected his first career knock, a go-ahead RBI single.
- North finished the season with a perfect fielding percentage.
2017-21 (East Ridge High School)
- North lettered in baseball all four years while at East Ridge, earning All-Suburban East Conference honors all four seasons.
- In his sophomore season, Ben helped the Raptors to a Minnesota state championship and was named to the All-Class 4A tournament team.Â
- North collected All-Section and All-State honors in his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons, even being named a finalist for Minnesota’s Mr. Baseball award.
- Ben was a three-sport athlete at East Ridge, playing basketball and football on top of baseball.
